Overview
You can use AppleScript to modify a host of listing properties. Apple originally developed this scripting language to help automate all kinds of tasks. While AppleScript is far more complex than Apple’s Automator application, it also opens up a whole new world of opportunities and provides much greater freedom.
Apple’s Script Editor application is your tool of the trade when it comes to creating and running AppleScripts. The Script Editor application resides in the Utilities folder in your Mac’s Applications directory.
