Product Safety
When you sell products subject to specific safety requirements to buyers in the European Union, UK or Northern Ireland, you might have to follow the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). This can be achieved by adding product safety information to your listings such as product documents, manufacturer names, pictograms and safety statements. The Product Safety feature requires a GarageSale Pro subscription.
In GarageSale you find the “Product Safety” settings in the Options Inspector:
Product Persons
Product manufacturers and “EU-responsible persons” can be added in the “Product Persons” window. Provide name and contact detail information for the manufacturers of the items you sell.
Persons added there can then be selected in the listings’s “Product Safety” settings:
Product Documents
Product documents like user guides, certificates or data sheets can be added in the “Product Documents” window. Once added they will be uploaded to your eBay account.
These documents can then be selected in the “Product Safety” settings:
Good to know
- Product documents and persons can be added and removed by Apple Script and Javascript actions.
- A GarageSale Pro subscription is required.
