Some hidden features or useful hints in random order:

Copy/Paste Settings

You can copy specific settings from one listing and simply paste them into other listings. To do so right-click on a listing in the outline view and use the Copying and Pasting Listing Components command.

Another way is to use the sprocket menu at the top right corner of each panel:

Copy/Paste Images

In Editor Mode multiple selected images can be copied (cmd-c) and pasted (cmd-v) between listings.

Copy/Paste Item Specifics

When clicking on the Item Specifics “+” button in Preview mode you can copy all used item specifics and then simply paste them into another listing.

Image Editor

Double-click an image to quickly open the built-in Image Editor.

Add Text or Shapes to Images

Right-click on an image and select “Markup” to add text, arrows, or shapes. It allows you to crop or rotate images also.

Duplicate Listings Without Images

When holding down the Shift key when invoking the Duplicate command, images won’t be copied over to the duplicated listing.

Bulk-Duplicate Listings

When holding down the control key when invoking the Duplicate command, you can create an arbitrary number of duplicated listings.

Icon Legend

There’s an icon legend available in GarageSale’s “Help” menu.

Shortcuts to Switch Views

In the Listing section, you can use the cmd-1, -2, -3 keyboard shortcuts to quickly switch between Editor, Preview, and Live view.

Sort Listings in Reverse Order

Holding down the option key while choosing “Sort By Title” from the listing section’s outline view context menu sorts listings in reverse order.

Shipping Settings Remembered

GarageSale remembers what domestic shipping service you last added to a new listing, and fills it in next time you add a shipping service to a new listing.

Hide Unneeded Shipping Services

Shipping service menu: To get rid of unneeded shipping services and to make the menu smaller, just select “Show/Hide” from the bottom of the menu. This opens a panel where you can disable services you don’t use at all. The same feature is available in the “Carrier” menu in Order mode.

Generate SKUs

You can automatically generate SKU for your variations by hitting “Generate SKUs” in the variation settings.

Create Listing From an Inventory Item

You can easily create a listing from an inventory item through the “More” button in the Inventory section. Item quantity, item cost, price, title and description are copied into the listing.

Reveal Original

When a smart group item is selected you can use the “Reveal Original” command in the outline view context menu to easily jump to the original item, for instance to edit it or move it to a different folder. A toolbar icon is available, too.

Sort Values in Smart Group Settings

If you hold down the option key while opening the smart group editor, all values in the property popups are sorted alphabetically.

Category Tree Version

You can see the current category tree version if you open the sprocket menu in the Category popover while holding down the option key.

Out of Stock

You can set the quantity of “Good ‘til cancelled” listings to zero to mark the item “out of stock” (you need to enable the “Out of Stock” feature in your selling preferences on eBay’s website).

Blank Line Between Links

When invoking the “Copy Listing Link” command for multiple listings while holding down the option key, a blank line is inserted in between links.

Exporting Listings

By default, multiple selected listings will be exported to one large single file. To export multiple listings as separate files instead, hold down the option key while selecting the Export Listings menu item.
